Introducing Matthew Huddleston – Retirement Plan Consulting

Matthew Huddleston has spent nearly 30 years helping people turn
financial goals into realities half of it at Fisher\SMBTM. He puts all this
experience and know-how to work for small and mid-sized businesses,
helping owners and executives see the bigger picture of how their
retirement plan changes employees’ lives.

Matthew’s expertise spans:

  • Analyzing and improving retirement plans.
  • Managing and motivating teams.
  • Collaborating with business leaders and connecting with employees.


Matthew began his career at a small investment bank that helped
technology companies go public. He then went to Morgan Stanley, where
he was an advisor and manager. He came to Fisher\SMB in 2010 to pursue
his mission of helping businesses get more from their retirement plan.

At Fisher\SMB, Matthew is a listener and a connector. He’s seen it all in the
retirement planning industry and has a deep toolbox to help businesses
craft the right plan for them. He also knows what employees need and
delivers a level of service that goes beyond expectations. With Matthew,
businesses get a plan consultant who won’t settle for anything less than his best.

Your dedicated Retirement Plan Consultant ensures your retirement plan is designed, governed, and maintained to support the needs of you and your employees.  

They bring deep retirement planning experience, coordinate with all of your service partners, and stay hands-on throughout the onboarding process to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

During your transition to Fisher\SMB your Retirement Plan Consultant will:

  • Help lead and coordinate all service provider transitions at the plan level. 
  • Guide you in defining plan goals, operational rules, and administrative processes. 
  • Support the development and implementation of your Investment Policy Statement. 
  • Help you introduce and communicate the plan to employees. 
  • Deliver financial wellness sessions and facilitate employer-focused retirement strategy discussions.
