Ed Johnsen

Retirement Plan Consultant

Introducing Ed Johnsen –
Retirement Plan Consulting

Ed Johnsen helps clients design retirement plans that are more than the sum of their parts. His plans are tailored to each business and its needs, delivering value and confidence to people throughout the org chart. Ed focuses strongly on analyzing under-performing plans, finding red flags, and fixing issues before fiduciary risk and high costs spiral further.

Ed’s expertise spans:

  • Crafting retirement plans tailored to the specific needs of each business.
  • Reaching businesses in new regions and industries.
  • Demonstrating success leading teams.

Ed began his career at The Hartford, supporting employers and advisors with 401(k) strategies. He then went to MassMutual before forming his own boutique firm that allowed him to deliver a more direct and personalized form of service.

At Fisher\SMBTM, Ed’s able to provide a depth of service and support that business leaders value. He’s known for implementing objective, measurable plan improvements and enjoys getting down into the details that separate a good plan from a great one. A natural problem solver, Ed gets excited talking to businesses about how to improve their retirement plan because he’s seen the difference the right plan can make.

Even if you think you have a good plan, I’d like the opportunity to make it great.
